I will miss you Barbara! God allowed you to be in my life once again and I consider myself to have been blessed to be able to talk with you, share thoughts and ideas and just enjoyed being in each others presence. God works in mysterious ways. you were always more concerned about others than yourself, but that's just you being you.
Since walking the halls of Druid High School, our lives have been intertwined throughout most of my life. We reconnected after twenty years through her work with the Bernice Washington program in 1990s. Our last several connections were in Montgomery. She has always been devoted to helping others in every aspect I've known her. She exemplied professionalism in every interaction, always joyful and uplifting. She inspired me in many ways as we discussed improvement in serving our community and addressing the challenges that she without hesitation gladly accepted. She left a legacy that her fellow coworkers and community will remember.I am happy to have known the honored hero from Druid High School.
Words cannot express the sadness that I feel at this time. BJ, Dr. Jackson, was my supervisor, mentor and friend. She touched so many lives and was loved and respected by many. My prayers are with her family. BJ, I love you and will miss you dearly.
